Chamber Banquet Takes A Look Back

The Liberal Chamber of Commerce held their annual Chamber Banquet Saturday night at Liberal High
School. The theme for this years "Bash" was Happy Trails To the Next 125 Years, and many Corporate Tables decorated and many attendees came dressed in accordance with the evenings theme. A prime rib dinner, with meat donated by National Beef Packing Company and prepared by Hunny’s was served. The Chamber also recognized several businesses and individuals throughout the evening. In the Table Decorating contest, SWMC took third with, The Bank of Beaver City in second, and the winner was The Baker Arts Center. The Bank Of Beaver City also won the United Wireless Peoples Choice Award. Jessica malin was declared the Best Dressed Individual, while Mike and Jana Christian were the Best Dressed Couple. Dean Aragon received his Past President’s plaque and scrapbook. The annual "Friend of the Chamber Award was presented to 1st National Bank, and Amanda Stout won the #1 Ambassador Award. Rhonda Crawford was the Chambers 2012 Merit Award winner. Several Pioneers were recognized after the dinner, all of whom were over 95 years old with Mary Martz being the oldest at 101. Following the banquet portion of the evening, the audience moved to the Jim Maskus Auditorium where they viewed 2 videos, one put together by the City of Liberal and "A Year In Review" video put together by Teresa Lindsley.In the Auditorium, several "Pioneer Business were also recognized. Rounding out the evening, the audience was entertained by the side splitting comedy routine of Juston McKinney
