SCCC citizenship class celebrates achievement, with instructor Janeth Vazquez, who also serves as SCCC advisor. Vazquez, a naturalized citizen herself, taught her first cohort of students in the SCCC citizenship class this spring, and awarded certificates in a ceremony and dinner in April. “I’m so impressed with these students, who worked hard to pursue their dreams,” Vazquez said. “Some of them are young, others are older, but they all share this determination to become U.S. citizens, and it’s an honor to teach them.”
