Cast Announced For SCCC/ATS Production Of “Assassins”

The Seward County Community College/Area Technical School Drama Department has announced the cast for the spring musical.
Members of the cast Balladeer/ Proprietor/ Lee Harvey Oswald, played by Michael A. Ask of Liberal; John Wilkes Booth, played by Francisco Morales of Liberal; Sarah Jane Moore, played by Stephanie Drymalski of Liberal; Leon Czolgosz, played by Lewis Mize of Dodge City; Sam Byck, played by Derek Wilson of Liberal; Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme, played by Tarin Kirk of Liberal; John Hinkley, played by Juan Carlos Contreras of Liberal; Guiseppe Zangara, played by Giovanni Macedo of Liberal; Charles Guiteau, played by Sheldon Padilla of Liberal; James Blain, played by Elmer Montes of Liberal; President Gerald Ford, played by Duane Dunn of Liberal; President James Garfield, played by Michael Harrison of Guymon, Okla.; Billy, played by Manueal Del Real of Kismet; Emma Goldman, played by Veronica Olivas, Johnson; and David Herald, played by Julio Garcia of Liberal.
The ensemble Amira Coleman of Liberal; Nicole Welch, Beaver, Okla.; Jasmine Howell, Moscow; Colby Kopel, Tyrone, Okla.; Angel Rodriguez of Liberal; and Michael Harrison, Guymon.
Assisting with the play are Tyconda Millsap of Liberal, stage manager; Gomez Thomas and Veronica Olivas, both of Liberal, assistant stage managers; and Bryan Peters of Liberal, sound.
The cast will perform the musical, “Assassins” April 11-13. “Assassins” is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and is based on the book by John Weidman.
This murderous carnival game portrays men and women who attempt to assassinate the presidents of the United States, some successfully and some unsuccessfully. The musical reflects the music of each era.
