On the evening of Friday, July 29th, County Commission candidate Cecil Milhon was going door to door campaigning when he approached a residence in the 1200 block of North Pershing. After making contact with an occupant of the residence, Milhon was leaving the home when he was accosted and shoved to the ground. The suspect, Mike Allen, according to Milhon, was said to be brandishing a firearm. Milhon subsequently notified the Liberal Police Department who arrived on scene and took Allen into custody.  The investigation is ongoing.
