Bomb Threat at National Beef Packing

On Monday evening, January 24th, at approximately 9:00pm, Liberal Police Officers responded to a bomb threat at the National Beef Packing Plant. The plant was temporarily evacuated and officers along with National Beef Packing Plant staff searched the facility. The Kansas Highway Patrol bomb dogs were also contacted and assisted in the search. No suspicious packages were located and this investigation is ongoing.
