Body Hanging in Tree Identified, Case Closed

On July 6^th 2016 The Seward County Sheriff’s Office responded to 3971 Muse RD Liberal Kansas, for a deceased person hanging in the trees behind the VFW. The deceased person identity was unknown at the time of the call.

The Seward County Sheriff’s Office received information on a possible identity of the deceased person and with the assistant of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation Agent, who is assigned to Seward County and Kansas Bureau of Investigation Forensic Laboratory, the possibly identity was compared to the deceased person and was identified through DNA and Dental records to be the deceased person.

The family has been notified and at the family’s request the name of the body/deceased person is being withheld.

The case had been ruled as a suicide, and the case has been closed.
