According to Beaver County Sheriff Reuben Parker, an unidentified man was found Tuesday in a ditch, lying face down in an area east of Highway 83 and south of U.S. Highway 412.
According to Parker, as of Saturday afternoon there has still not been an identification on the man. His body was transported to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City where a full autopsy will be performed. However, according to Parker, on initial inspection, the medical examiner indicated it was likely the man had died of natural causes.
It is unknown at this time how long the man had been there – though according to Parker, the reason a local rancher/farmer found him was because of an odor he first noticed last Saturday.
The body was that of a male, approximately 30-years-old and with dark hair.
“They got some good prints, so hopefully we will be able to identify him,” Parker said.
