Blowing Dust Causes Crash in Haskell County

Blowing dust is to blame for a crash Sunday in Haskell County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred at about 2:30 Sunday afternoon three miles north of the 83-160 junction. A 2012 Honda Civic driven by 19 year old Ashlee Gaspard of Ulysses was headed north on 83. She slowed down when she entered an area of blowing dust. Twenty-six year old Cayla Thomlinson of Healy was behind Gaspard and struck Gaspard’s car after entering hte area of blowing dust. Gaspard, Thomlinson, and 20 year old passenger Casey Thomlinson of Rolla were injured and taken to Haskell County Hospital.
