Bee Jays Rally at NBC to Top San Diego

The Liberal Bee Jays improve to 2-0 at the NBC World Series with a 9-7 come from behind win over the San Diego Force.

Liberal was the home team and trailed 4-1 heading to the bottom of the seventh, but that is when the Bee Jays caught fire. Liberal scored five runs in the seventh including a Blake Bergeron homer to take a 6-4 lead. The Force weren’t done though as they added three runs of their own in the top half of the eighth to regain the lead at 7-6. Liberal struck back though with three in the bottom of the eighth to take the lead for good at 9-7.

It was then Tomas Cruz , formerly of Seward County and Clemson who came on and shut the Force down in the ninth to earn his second victory of the year.

The Bee Jays are now 33-13 overall on their season. They will next play on Saturday. Their opponent and the gametime is TBD. Stay tuned to kscbnews.net on Friday for more information.
