Arrest Made In Seward County Murder

An arrest has been made in the murder of Thomas Coy Miller which took place on August 17, 2013 in rural Seward County. The Seward County Sheriff’s Department, assisted by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, arrested Michael W. Eikenberry Friday morning in conjunction with the investigation. Eikenberry made his first appearance Monday morning and was charged with 1 count of 2nd degree murder. 2nd Degree Murder is defined as unintentional but reckless. Eikenberry is currently in the Seward County Jail on a $100,000.00 Bond. Scheduling is set for August 4, 2014 at 8:30am. If convicted, he could face up to 493 months in jail. Eikenberry has a court appointed attorney.
