Accident at 15th and Western Causes Minor Injuries

On 09/28/2020 around 11:14AM, Liberal Police officers were dispatched to the intersection of West 15th Street and North Western Avenue for reports of a motor vehicle collision at this location. An investigation revealed a crash occurred between a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic and a 2005 Acura TL at this intersection. Information developed at the scene found that the Chevrolet was traveling westbound on 15th Street approaching North Western Avenue when it entered the intersection and collided with the Acura which was traveling eastbound on 15th Avenue. Reports indicate the driver of the Chevrolet misjudged the distance of the oncoming vehicle. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Allstate Towing. Injuries were minor and all parties declined further medical attention.

Investigations are currently being completed and charges are pending regarding this incident.
