The USD 480 Board of Education met at 6:30 pm at East Campus. In New Business, the Board approved the bid from Kansas Gym Floors in the amount of $19,925 for the annual gym floor refinishing at EMS, SRMS, LHS Big gym and East Campus Gym.

The Board approved the early graduation applications as presented for Edgar Ramos Hernandez, Mauricio Guereca Ibanez, and Edgar Valverde. Also approved was for the Board to travel to the NSBA conference in San Antonio TX as presented.

Approved was the backpay for the District’s SRO program. The City of Liberal provides two officers for the SRO program in the schools. It has been recently brought to USD 480’s attention that USD 480 was not billed for services in prior years, therefore they had not paid for these services. Backpay for this bill is in the amount of $186,776.44.
