USD 480 Selects Leadership

The USD 480 board of Education met Monday evening and elected Brad Carr as President and Sarah Thompson as Vice President. The Board approved the Consent Agenda as presented which included New Teacher Bonus Agreement Teaching Tuition Agreements, Teaching Tuition Amendments, Staff Travel, Overnight/Wednesday/Sunday athletic & activity events, Donations, and Employment/Retirement/Resignations/Transfers.

In New Business, the Board approved the Annual Financial Statement Audit for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, and appointed Nila Newton, Jarod Bellar and Dane Richardson to the health insurance committee for USD 480.

Approved was approve the early graduation applications for Adrian Barragan, Erik Bernal Casas, Oscar Sanchez Martinez, Jayden Quinonez, and Lesly Ortiz Romero. Also approved were the changes to the Employee Handbook as presented.

the Board approved Spanish Foreign Language textbook adoption in the amount of $5,525.25, and approved the bid from Pro Tech Spraying in the amount of $25,056.44 for weed control.

The 2025-2026 Wellness Policy was approved by the Board as was the contract with FinalSite for the District’s website.

Resolutions J, N, P, Q were approved also as presented.
