MEADE – Pastor Kenneth W.G. Kramer, age 90, passed away Monday morning, January 5, 2026, at the Meade District Hospital, Meade, Kansas.

Pastor Kenneth W.G. Kramer was born 2/13/1935 in Highland Park Illinois. He was raised in Wisconsin. He attended Augustana High School and then went on to Augustana College, graduating in 1957. Ken then moved to International Falls Mn to become the Campus or Youth pastor. This is where he met his future wife, Alona Whidden. They were married November 23rd, 1960. Ken then graduated from Luther Seminary in St Paul Mn in 1961 and He and Alona went on to serve a several parishes including two and three church parishes throughout Minnesota and Nebraska over the next 60 years. During this time, they raised their 5 kids. Ken enjoyed reading, history, trivia, classical music and gardening. Every place they lived they transformed it with plants and flowers.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Alona, son Erik, brother Bill and his parents. Those left to cherish his memories are his sons Tim (Ann) Kramer of Dunn, Nc, Jim (Leann) Kramer of Meade, Ks. Daughters Sarah Kramer of Meade Ks and Joanne (Jerry) Bessler of Plymouth, Ne. Eleven Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren.

Service will be held on Saturday January 17th at 11am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dewitt Nebraska. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery Dewitt, Ne.
