A fatality accident occurred Monday morning at approximately 6:05 am, on  US Highway 54, Eastbound just .1 mile East of County Road 9.

A 2017 Chevy Silverado being driven by Aaron Bradley Patton, 26, of Liberal, was traveling East on US 54.  Patton crossed over the fog line onto the Eastbound shoulder and collided with an unknown stopped vehicle. The stopped vehicle left the collision scene prior to notification of the collision to law enforcement and has not yet been identified.

Patton died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
