FOWLER – Kyle S. Lewis, age 69, passed away Tuesday evening, December 9, 2025, at his Fowler, Kansas, residence.
He was born August 27, 1956, at Fowler, the son of Walter Loren and Wanda C. (Cope) Lewis. As a young boy he attended school in Fowler, gradating from Fowler High School in 1975. While in high school, he participated in FFA, football, basketball, track, chorus, and the junior and senior play. After his graduation, he began his career as a lifetime farmer and rancher.
He was a member of the Episcopal Church of Meade, Kansas, until their closure and later a member of the United Methodist Church of Fowler. He enjoyed collecting guns, all items John Deere, going to gun shows and antique tractor shows, Fowler Threshing Days, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by a brother, Dr. Richard Lewis of Grapevine, Texas; nine nieces and nephews, Todd Lewis, Sarah Luna, Laura Lewis, Allison Friedrich, Angela Cherry, Ashley Chambers, Lindsey Quinn, Michael McKinley, and Cheri Leone; an aunt, Dr. Ellen Verell; twenty great nieces and nephews; and a great-great nephew.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ronald Lewis; a sister, Shelly Cherry; a sister-in-law Cheryl Lewis; and a great-nephew, Nick Finke.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the First Baptist Church, Meade. Interment will follow in the Fowler Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
The family would welcome memorials to the Hospice of the Prairie or the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
