Seward County Commission Approves a CAT Dozer Order

The Seward County Commission met on Monday evening and approved for Chairman, Scott Carr, to sign accepting the agreement for Legal Services with Foulston Siefkin, Patricia Voth. This is for Legal Services regarding wind/BESS projects.

Commissioners voted to allow (CBCC) & (JCAPS) to purchase the Therno Scientific TruNarc Delta Handheld Analyzer devices for the Seward County Sheriff’s Dept., and utilize the opioid settlement funds as outlined in the MFAF guidelines.

For the Landfill, the Commission gave approval to order a new D6 Dozer from Foley Cat. Foley Cat provided a bid of $600,753.94 and will take their current Dozer on trade for $60,000.00, bringing the total cost to $540,753.94.

The Commission heard a WIC Update from the Health Department and then tabled the Seward County Health Department’s KDHE Grant Funds – Approval & Implementation Workflow procedure.

The Board of County Commissioners also tabled the KDHE grant awards for the Kansas State Formula Funds, PHEP, Family Planning, MCH, PMI, and IAP programs. A work session was scheduled.
