Youth Trip Applications Now Open

TCEC is excited to announce that applications for the highly anticipated youth trips are now open. Youth Tour, Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp, and Energy Camp are exciting opportunities designed to empower and inspire young community members by providing them with an immersive educational experience. These all-expense-paid trips offer a unique platform for students to learn about how the federal government works, connect with peers across the state and nationwide, and develop leadership skills essential for their future success. Youth Tour

From museums and memorials to the U.S. Capitol, Washington, D.C., offers something for everyone. The TCEC Youth Tour Trip, scheduled for June 13-19, 2026, promises an enlightening journey through the nation’s capital. Applications are open from November 1 to January 10.  Three high school juniors will have the chance to participate in this unforgettable experience.

Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp (CYLC)

CYLC brings together students from Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Wyoming for an unforgettable learning experience in the scenic setting of Steamboat Springs, CO. This enriching camp, scheduled for July 10-16, 2026, offers participants a unique opportunity to understand how electric co-ops operate while honing their leadership skills.  Applications are open from November 1 to January 10.  Two high school juniors will be selected to attend this empowering event, making it an excellent platform for aspiring leaders.

Energy Camp

Campers will enjoy three action-packed days of hands-on learning and adventure, featuring electrical safety demonstrations, bucket truck rides, pole climbing, and team-building challenges. This camp, scheduled for May 26-28, 2026, offers an interactive introduction to the electric utility industry. Applications are open from November 1 to January 10. For this unique educational experience, 8th graders will apply in teams of three.
