Tanya E. Romero

Tanya E. Romero, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on October 12, 2025, in Hugoton, Kansas, at the age of 54. Born on June 6, 1971, in Bradford, Pennsylvania, Tanya was known for her good-hearted nature and her ability to connect with people. She had a gift for conversation and never met a stranger, making friends wherever she went.

Tanya cherished her family above all else and took great joy in caring for her grandchildren. Her love for them was evident in the time spent together, creating lasting memories while camping, fishing, and visiting the zoo and museums. These moments brought her immense happiness and enriched the lives of those around her.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Eugene Wright; her son, Richard “Ricky” Wright, and his wife, Kayla of Liberal, Kansas; her daughter, Kirsty Wright; her brother, Jimmy Maludin, and his wife, Heather, of Gulfport, Mississippi; and her mother, Nellie M. Garcia, of Hugoton. Tanya also leaves behind five treasured grandchildren: Xavier Wright, Danielle Johnson, Isaiah Wright, Roxann Wright, and Richard “RJ” Wright, along with other relatives and friends who will remember her fondly.

Tanya is preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Maludin Sr., and her grandparents, Leo and Mary Romero. She will be dearly missed, her spirit and kindness leaving an indelible mark on those who knew and loved her.

Book signing will be on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 12 P.M. until 6 P.M. at Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton.

Rosary service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 1:30 P.M., followed by Funeral Mass at 2 P.M., at St. Helen Catholic Church, Hugoton with Father Terrance Klein presiding.
