The public is invited to a “Meet the Candidate Forum” at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Rock Island Depot.

Candidates for the USD 480 Board of Education, and Seward County Community College Board of Trustees have been invited to participate.

Candidates for the USD 480 School Board are Alan Brown, Travis Martinez, Nick Hatcher, Luz Riggs, Terry Tanking, and Sarah Thompson.

There are four candidates for the three positions open on the SCCC Board of Trustees. The candidates are Kay Burtzloff,  Casey Mein, Dustin Ormiston, and Brett Reiss .

The public is invited to come to the depot, listen to the candidates, with written questions being taken from the audience until 6:00 pm. No oral questions will be permitted during the forums.
