Robert “Rowdy” Dean Hill took his final ride home on Thursday, September 25th, 2025, in Enid, Oklahoma, surrounded by the love of his children and grandchildren.
He was born on September 28th, 1954, to Verl and Patricia Hill in Topeka, Kansas. Rowdy learned the value of hard work at an early age. He traded in his final year of high school for a practical education, quickly joining the workforce and building the calluses on his hands that would define his strong work ethic. His early career included time as an over-the-road trucker and a machinist. At the age of 30, he found his professional home at Ernest and Spencer, where he remained a dedicated and faithful employee for an impressive 41 years.
Along the way, Rowdy met the love of his life, Kathy, and together they built a life and raised a rambunctious bunch of five children: Harley, Jacki, Leslie, Jake, and their youngest, Nikki. True to his nickname, Rowdy was always full of mischief, quick with an ornery grin that often signaled an inappropriate joke or a bit of fun. He never shied away from a challenge and poured the strong values of grit, determination, and hard work into his family. Even in the most demanding situations, he always managed to squeeze in a bit of joy. In his free time, Rowdy enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles, taking quiet days of fishing, and collecting firearms.
Rowdy was preceded in death by his parents, Verl and Patricia Hill, and his beloved wife, Kathy Hill.
He is survived and dearly missed by his five children: Harley Davidson of Moscow, Jacki Romero of Guymon, Leslie Hill of Enid, Jake and wife Tiffany Hill of Enid, and Nikki Hill also of Enid. He also leaves behind his brother, Vernon Hill of Topeka, Kansas, as well as multiple loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
