Guymon 12 Year Old Pinned for an Hour After Crash

A 12 year old Guymon girl was pinned for an hour in a car Saturday after a driver of another vehicle drove through a stop sign. The Guymon Police Department accident report indicates Christopher Taylor was headed north in a 1990 GMC shrtbed truck when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of 5th and Sunset and struck the vehicle in front of him. The car struck a 1995 Buick driven by Mathew Campbell which had just started to move forward. The Buick had four passengers including the 12 year old girl. Her legs were pinned under the seat of the driver’s side after the impact of the cars smashed the front end of the truck and forced the rear end of the buick through to the back seat. Guymon firefighters began removing the driver’s side back door, driver’s side panels, driver’s side front door, and the roof from the driver’s side. The Guymon Daily Herald says the girl broke her leg and possibly fractured a pelvic bone. The driver who hit the car admitted fault and was issued a citation.
