Francisco Saldana Torres, a cherished soul from Hugoton, Kansas, departed this life on June 27, 2025, in Liberal, Kansas, at the age of 73. Born on January 1, 1952, in Ex Hacienda de Villela, S.L.P., Mexico, he was the beloved son of Benito Saldana Pinon and Maximina Torres Meza.

Throughout his life, Francisco embodied the essence of dedication. His professional journey, marked by hard work and commitment, flourished as the owner of Hugoton Tire and through his construction company, where he found joy and purpose. Francisco’s unwavering spirit and diligence not only built a successful career but also left an indelible mark on all who crossed his path.

Family was at the heart of Francisco’s existence. He will be profoundly missed by his son, Francisco Saldana Arredondo and companion, Ma Carmen H Saldana; and his three daughters: Leticia Saldana Arredondo and her husband, Daniel Rodriguez of Little Rock, AR; Alma Saldana Arredondo and her husband, Elyoenai of Mexico; and Nuria Saldana Arredondo and her husband, Juan Ruben Faz, also of Mexico. He took immense pride in his role as a grandfather, showering his grandchildren, Salma Ashley Juarez Saldana, Erandy Adamary Juarez Saldana, El yo enay G Juarez Saldana, Daniel Rodriguez Saldana, Osmara Rodriguez Saldana, Nuria A. Faz Saldana, Debany Faz Saldana, Joseph Faz Saldana, and five great-grandchildren with love and laughter. Further enriching his legacy are his two brothers, Ricardo and Remedios Saldana Torres, and five sisters: Socorro, Graciela, Rocio, Delfina, and Antonia Saldana Torres, along with a loving circle of relatives and friends who held him dear.

Francisco’s kind and loving nature blossomed in every interaction, leaving a profound impact on the hearts of many. His warmth and compassion created a legacy that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating Francisco’s life at visitation services on Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Robson Funeral Home in Hugoton, Kansas.

Rosary will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 5:30 PM at St. Helen Catholic Church, Hugoton. Funeral Mass will follow on at 6:15 PM at St. Helen Catholic Church, Hugoton.

Francisco Saldana Torres will be profoundly missed, but his spirit of hard work, love, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
