Sybil Zoe Wagner, age 80, died on, Monday, June 23, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas.
She was born on February 2, 1945, in Hays, Kansas, to Harold and Wanda (Shank) Greenwald. Sybil graduated from Hutchinson, Kansas high school. She attended and graduated from the Liberal School of Hairdressing and worked for Eulila Douglas. Later Sybil became a certified Dietary Manager. She worked for USD #480 for 20 years as an official secretary for the lunch program. Sybil worked for 15 years for the Seward County Technical School as a Hospitality Cook and at the bookstore. She was a sponsor of the Skills USA. Taking 7 teams to Nationals in Kansas City.
Sybil loved flower arranging, painting, sewing, crafting, reading, traveling, and water skiing. She was a Girl Scout Leader, 4-H Community Leader, Sunday School Teacher, she loved Mission Travel and was a member of Special Olympics. Sybil especially enjoyed doing anything with her children, grandchildren, or great grandchildren. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Sybil was united in marriage to Stanley Wagner on September 24, 1968, in Dalhart, Texas. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters, Cathi Crosier and her husband, Jim, and Michelle Wagner both of Liberal, Kansas, Grandchildren, Haley Lawson and her husband, MJ,
Kinsi Graham, Caleb Crosier-Torrez and his husband, Javier, Lexi Avila and her husband, Alejandro, Bayli Crosier, Five great grandchildren, Weston Graham, Arabella Avila, Kaiya Lawson, Reign Avila, Leo Maska, and Brother, Greg Greenwald.
She was preceded in death by Her parents, Harold and Wanda Greenwald, Husband Stanley Wagner, Daughter, Kimberly Wagner, Sisters-in-law, Norma Wagner, and Maryalice Futrell, Brother-in-law, Earshel Futrell.
The funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Emanuel Southern Baptist Church, 1550 N. Western Avenue, Liberal, Kansas. Pastor Kade Carpenter will be presiding.
Burial to follow at Liberal Cemetery.
