Dr. Bob Sager Passes Away While on Vacation in Canada

The office of Dr. Bob Sager has confirmed that the Dr. has passed away while vacationing in Canada. Out of respect for Dr. Sager’s family, KSCB News will not be releasing any details of his death.

Southwest Medical Center CEO Norm Lambert issued this statement:

“Southwest Medical Center was saddened to learn of the death of Dr. Robert Sager. Dr. Sager was a valuable member of the healthcare community, as well as of the Liberal community. He will be missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to his wife, Lynda, his children and his staff at his clinic in Liberal.” – CEO/President Norm Lambert

Dr. Sager earned his B.Sc. and M.D. degrees from the University of Toronto, where he also completed his residency in Family Practice Medicine at Toronto Western Hospital. After 25 years of family practice in Ontario, Dr. Sager moved to Liberal, KS in 1997.

In the course of a distinguished career spanning over 30 years, Dr. Sager has integrated conventional medicine with complementary therapies including acupuncture, functional medicine and nutrition.

Dr. Sager was Board Certified in Family Practice and also holds certification from the American Board of Holistic Medicine. He was an active member of several professional societies, including the Kansas Medical Society, American Academy of Medical Acupuncture, the American College for the Advancement of Medicine and the American Academy of Pain Management. He has lectured internationally on health-related topics to the public, health care professionals and corporate groups.
