Traffic Stops Lands 4 In Jail On Drug Charges

Four have been arrested after allegedly orchestrating a two car drug trafficking scheme.

On June, 29 officers pulled over a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta bearing Arizona license plates for a lane violation, the vehicle looked to have been being followed by a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche according to the probable cause affidavit filed at the Texas County Court Clerk’s Office.

Staci L. Wilson, 43, was driving the Jetta when officers deployed a K-9 Unit. The Unit detected the presence of illegal narcotics. The affidavit states that upon search of the Jetta, officers located a large bale of green leafy substance that was wrapped in a vacuum sealed bag in the trunk, a Motorola walkie-talkie style radio in order to allegedly communicate with the Avalanche.

Meanwhile, officers in Beaver County pulled over the Avalanche after being informed the two vehicles had been traveling in tandem and illegal narcotics were found in the first. Three individuals were in the Avalanche, the driver Charles E. WIlson, 40, and passengers Ronald E. Martin, 41, and Latisha M. Wade, 33. Upon being pulled over, one of the individuals threw out torn up pieces of paper that was later retrieved and discovered to be their starting and ending point of their journey.

Officer deployed a K-9 Unit around the Avalanche where it detected to the presence of illegal narcotics. Upon searching the vehicle officers located a GPS system with directions and a receipt for a new set of tires.

After conducting a field test on the leafy substance, it tested positive for marijuana and officers obtained 27.5 pounds.

Wilson is begin charged with trafficking illegal drugs and trafficking CDS, marijuana. Wilson, Martin and Wade are all being charged with conspiracy to traffic CDS, marijuana and trafficking marijuana. The four are being held at the Texas County Detention Center and are all being held on a bond of $200,000.
