KSCB News - June 28, 2010 12:00 am

On Thursday, July 1, the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) will begin asphalt construction projects on US-54 and US-400 in Kiowa County. These projects will affect the 14.5 mile section of US-54, from the Ford/Kiowa County line east to the city limits of Greensburg, and the section of US-400 inside the city limits of Mullinville. These projects will place an asphalt overlay on the roadway surface. Traffic through the construction zone will be controlled by a pilot car and drivers can expect delays of around 15 minutes. Construction will be underway during daylight hours only, and the project is scheduled to be completed in October, depending on delays caused by weather conditions.

Venture Corporation of Great Bend , Kansas is the prime contractor for this $2,456,484.60 highway construction work.
