Country Stampede Death: UPDATE

KSCB News - June 25, 2010 12:00 am

A man who died while attending a country

music festival in Kansas has been identified as a Nebraska native.

Pottawatomie County authorities say 20-year-old Jacob Kruetzer,

of Beaver Creek, Neb., died early Thursday at the Country Stampede

at Tuttle Creek State Park.

Kruetzer was found unresponsive at a campground and died on the

way to a Manhattan hospital.

Pottawatomie County Sheriff Greg Riat says

foul play is not suspected in Kruetzer’s death but the

investigation continues.

Thousands of country music fans are expected to attend the

four-day Country Stampede, which started Thursday.
