Larks Hand Bee Jays First Loss of the Season

Tuesday night belonged to the Hays Larks as they cruised to a 15-8 victory over the Bee Jays handing Liberal their first loss of the season.

Hays scored early and often opening the game with four runs in the first inning and two in the second. The Bee Jays scored two in the third, but the Larks responded with a three spot in the fourth, fifth, and sixth.

Cam Brown led the way for Hays going 4-5 with a three run homer and 8 RBI’s. Will Alvis gave up nine runs in the loss. Matthew Gelormino came in to pitch in relief. The Bee Jays also brought in two outfielders during the game to pitch. Mark Gomez came out of center field to pitch, and Renny Webber came in from right field to pitch as well.

Hays improves to 4-2 overall, and 2-2 in the Jayhawk League. The Bee Jays drop to 7-1 overall, and 3-1 in the league. The two teams will match up again tonight at 7 p.m. The game will air on 1270 and right here on kscbnews.net. The dugout show will begin at 6:45 p.m. Koochel’s Bumper to Bumper Automotive will be the buyout sponser and will be giving away automotive prizes.
