KSCB News - June 7, 2010 12:00 am

The Kansas Livestock Association has

opened a new office in Scott City.

The livestock association plans to move 11 employees in its KLA

Environmental Services division previously located in Salina to the

new facility.

The agency says that division has experienced growing demand

from the cattle feeding and dairy industries for a variety of

services. Those include waste management system design, nutrient

management plans and assistance with permit applications for

facilities.

The building opened Tuesday, and an open house is planned for

July 23.
