Reward Offered In Ford Co. Homicide

KSCB News - June 3, 2010 12:00 am

Gov. Mark Parkinson is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to convictions in a 2001 homicide in Ford County.

Parkinson announced the reward Wednesday in the death of Jesus

Aaron Lerma. His body was found in a field in rural Ford County on

July 31, 2001. An autopsy ruled that he died from a single gunshot

wound to the chest. His vehicle was later found abandoned in Dodge

City.

No suspects have been identified in Lerma’s death.

State law allows the governor to offer $5,000 rewards for

information in any heinous crime in the state.
