Hamilton Co. Investigating Death Of Syracuse Resident

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation is currently investigating the death of a Syracuse, Kansas resident Christopher E. Barr.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call at Barr’s residence in Syracuse, Kansas at 4:00 a.m. MDT of an altercation with an edged weapon.

Barr was transported to the Hamilton County Hospital where he expired shortly after the incident.

The sherif s department reports that a subject is in custody, and the investigation is still ongoing.
