Event To Honor Liberal National Guard

KSCB News - May 19, 2010 12:00 am

Since the beginning of Iraqi Freedom, Liberal’s National Guard Unit has been deployed twice to Iraq. With the troops set to deploy a third time, this time to Africa, a reception and welcome is set to honor these brave men and women. The event will take place at the Mid America Air Museum, Saturday, May 22nd, starting at 5:00pm and will run until 7:30pm. This will be an informal event, and will give the public the opportunity to personally thank the soldiers and their families for their service to our country. On display will be pictures from their first two tours of duty in Iraq, and National Guard Museum artifacts. Refreshments will be served and the event is free of charge.
