Saints to face Hutch in Region VI Title Game

For the second consecutive season the Seward County Saints baseball team will play in the Region VI Championship game. Seward will need two wins to clinch it, while their opponent Hutchinson will need just one.

The Saints won two games Monday to make it to the title game. Seward beat Butler 2-1 in 12 innings Monday afternoon.

In the evening the Saints then rallied to top Cowley County 5-4. Seward trailed most of the game, before taking the lead for good with two runs in the eighth inning. The Saints outhit Cowley 15-3.

Seward will look to punch their ticket to the NJCAA World Series for the first time since 2004 on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. against Hutchinson. An if necessary game would follow at noon. GAME ONE will air on Talkradio 1270 WITH GAME TWO (IF NECESSARY) WILL AIR ON B 107.5 OR right here on kscbnews.net. The Sportsguys will air as scheduled, but will be pre-empted at 8:50 a.m. for the Saints Dugout Show.
