More Than 100 Residents Walk Across Kansas

Seward County residents walked an astounding 13,000 plus miles and consumed 9000 servings of fruits & vegetables over an 8 week period. The Walk Kansas Program is a team-based program that encourages participants to lead a healthier life through increased physical activity, stress management and making better nutrition choices. Physical activity of every kind is encouraged. Every fifteen minutes of physical activity converts to 1 mile along the Walk Kansas journey.

Congratulations to all area participants who took steps to make healthy behavior changes! Individuals reporting the most miles included: Globetrotters- Susan Lukwago, Marian McCaulley, Suzanne Campbell, Alice Isaacs, Michael and Elizabeth Dominguez, Walkinig Maniacs – Tina Vangieson, Patti Amerin, Carolyn and Daniel Quillin, Tammy Heronemus, Katie Prinsly, SCFD#1 – Chris and Greg Standard, Ricky Hansen, Dathan Moore, Michael Rice, Gregg Freelove.
