Offensive and Defensive Struggles Costly for LHS Softball

The Liberal softball team struggled offensively and defensively in 9-0 and 15-1 losses on Senior Recognition Day at the Liberal Softball Complex Tuesday afternoon. Liberal had one hit in game one and two hits in game two. Liberal committed five errors in game one and nine errors in game two. Seniors Emily Jackson, LaTonya Gooden, Brooke Scheuerman, Angelica Calleja, Veronica Aguirre, and Morgan Todd were recognized with their parents between games. Boys tennis players Trenton Cobb, Howzie Herring, Bryan Murrillo, and Hai Vo were also recognized.

Before the game, members of the LHS softball team released pink and red balloons into the air after a moment of silence for LHS softball player Brianna Flores who passed away earlier this year.
