A charity shotgun trap and turkey shoot will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the Ulysses Gun Club, 2860 E. Hampton Road, to raise financial assistance for the family of cancer patient Silas Wood of rural Moscow, Kansas.

Silas is a 10-year-old boy and 4-H member who was diagnosed with cancer and has been undergoing treatments in Kansas City. Silas is the son of Micah and Bethany Wood.
The charity shotgun shoot will provide participants the chance to shoot for prizes while enjoying shooting games and regular five-station trap. A hamburger and hotdog supper will be provided.

This fundraiser is being coordinated by Wild West Extension District 4-H members Elisha Staggers and Clayton Kunselman, and sponsored by the Stevens County 4-H Council. Participants are asked to bring their own guns and ammunition; however, a limited quantity of ammunition will be available for purchase.

For more information, contact the Wild West Extension District’s Hugoton office at 620-544-4359.
