One Inning Prevents Seward from Sweeping Butler

KSCB News - April 30, 2010 12:00 am

The #11 Seward softball team clinched at least a share of the Jayhawk West title Thursday in El Dorado, but it could have been even better. After winning game one 3-0, Seward dropped the second game 7-5 after allowing seven in the fourth inning. In game one, Erin Roufosse allowed just four hits in the shutout win. Marisa Coats and Briana Baron smacked back to back homers. Seward is 42-12 overall and 11-3 in the Jayhawk West. Seward needs one win at Barton today to clinch the Jayhawk West title out right.
