KSCB News - April 12, 2010 12:00 am

U.S. Rep. Lynn Jenkins wants to encourage

businesses to hire military reservists and National Guard members.

The Kansas Republican has developed a proposal she calls the

“Hire a Hero Act,” which would give small businesses tax

incentives to hire reservists and Guard members.

Jenkins planned to outline the proposal Monday at a news

conference at the Museum of the Kansas National Guard. The museum

is located at Forbes Field, south of Topeka.
