Cinco de Mayo Plans Underway

KSCB News - April 2, 2010 12:00 am

Many Liberal residents are preparing for Liberal’s Cinco de Mayo

Celebration. This year’s event will be Sunday, May 2. Liberal

Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Rozelle Webb says

parade entrants are welcome. “The Cinco de Mayo Committee

is working real hard to get the word out that this is a community

event and not just for one nationality,” Webb said during Talkradio

1270’s Live From Broadcast Square. “We are in the process of

taking parade entries and anyone can enter the parade.”

Entry forms are available at the chamber office or you can call

624-7773. There will be prizes available for the winners.

There will be more contests and the crowning of the Cinco

de Mayo Queen that day after the parade at the Seward County

Activity Center.
