Sick Saints Return Home

KSCB News - March 18, 2010 12:00 am

Seward’s nightmarish baseball road trip finally ended. The team lost

13-2 to nationally ranked division two program Des Moines, Iowa in

Enid yesterday. The Saints finish 1-6 on their five day road swing

through Texas and Oklahoma. Nearly half of the Saints team is sick.

Some players were even throwing up between at bats. Yesterday’s

game went just eight innings due to a run rule. Seward pitched by

committee yesterday in falling to 11-14. Seward returns home to

play Barton this weekend. Due to the anticipated weather, Seward

will play Barton at 2 PM on Sunday and Monday rather than Saturday.

Game one Sunday will air on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net.
