Kansas Sees 28th Death Related to H1N1

KSCB News - March 11, 2010 12:00 am

H1N1 has claimed its 28th victim in Kansas.

The state Department of Health and Environment says a 60-year-old man from the Topeka area has died after contracting the H1N1 virus.

The department says the man had an underlying health condition that increased his risk of complications from H1N1.

Health officials didn’t release other details, citing privacy concerns. The department says the man’s H1N1 was confirmed earlier this month and his death was reported to the agency Monday.

H1N1 cases have been reported in 91 of the state’s 105 counties since late April 2009.
