Guymon Stores Sell Alcohol to Underage Police Informants

The Guymon Police Department conducted an investigation into the sale of alcohol to minors by convenience stores and liquor stores. Undercover informants under the age of 21 found that 10 Guymon stores sold them alcohol while five stores requested ID and would not sell them alcohol. The Guymon Police Department submitted the information to the district attorney on the 10 cases. The sale of alcohol to a minor in Oklahoma in punishable by a fine up to 500 dollars and one year in jail and in cases where liquor is knowingly sold to a minor it is a felony punishable by a fine of 2,500 to 5,000 dollars and imprisonment for not more than five years.
