Two Vehicle Accident in Seward County

A two vehicle accident occurred in Seward County at approximately 5:25pm on Highway 54 at County Road P. A 2007 Dodge Charger being driven by America Baca, 15, of Liberal, was southbound on County Road P. A 2007 Nissan Quest being driven by Daniel Silva, 77, of Kismet, was eastbound on US Highway 54. The Baca vehicle failed to yield at the intersection and struck the Silva vehicle. The Charger was disabled in the roadway while the Quest came to rest on the north shoulder.

Both Baca and Silva were not injured, however a passenger in the Silva vehicle, Tomasa Silva, 71, of Kismet, was taken to Southwest Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries.
