USD 480 Board Approves Vehicle Purchases

The USD 480 Board of Education met Monday evening and after approving the consent agenda, the Board approved the state bid from Rusty Eck Ford in the amount of $105,537.00 for three Ford Transit 10 passenger vans and the bid from Shawnee Mission ford in the amount of $52,234.00 for two half ton pickups. The 10 passenger transit vans will be replacing 3 Suburbans in the activity fleet. The two half ton pickups will replace two maintenance/grounds vehicles.

The Board also approved the Project Development Agreement with Johnson Controls in the amount of $25,000.00 and the engineering services agreement with Integrated Consulting Engineers in the amount of $35,000.00

The project development agreement with Johnson controls is to design and develop a project to address outside air exchanges at LHS to improve indoor air quality. The engineering services agreement with Integrated Consulting Engineers is to develop a project to upgrade/replace approximately 40 HVAC units to improve indoor air quality. Both of these services are eligible for ESSER funds.

A copier was approved with the the bid from Southern Office in the amount of $10,835 for a copier. The current copier at Prairieview has exceeded the 2 million mark.

Hayes Software Systems Bundle for the Districtwas also approved in the amount of $11,500.00 for 1 year.
