Fire in Seward County Quickly Extinguished

On July 26th at around 5:43 pm Seward County Fire Department was dispatched to a vegetation fire on Westbound Highway 54 at Mile Post 13. Units arrived on scene to find approximately an acre of natural vegetation on fire between the Highway and the railroad. The fire is a undetermined in nature.

The department responded with 7 firefighters, 2 engines, 1 attack, 1 tanker, and 2 chief officers. No injuries were reported. The department was assisted by the Sheriff’s Office and KHP.
