Crash Sends Two Beaver Residents to the Hospital

A crash in Harper County sent three people, two from Beaver, to the hospital.  The crash occurred Monday afternoon at 3:33 on 270 about seven miles south and two miles west of Laverne.  A Peterbilt semi driven by 26 year old Tyler Albright of Balko and a Ford F-150 pickup driven by 75 year old Ralph Taton of Beaver were headed west on 270.  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports Albright made an improper left turn from the right shoulder of the westbound lane of 270.  Taton passed on the left side of the semi and struck the semi in the intersection of 270 and county road 1730.  Taton was transported by Laverne EMS to Harper County Hospital, then was transported to OU Medical where he is listed in stable condition with head and arm injuries.  Passenger 72 year old Walter Taton of Faith, South Dakota was transported by med flight to OU Medical.  He was admitted in critical condition with head, trunk internal, and external injuries.  He was pinned for about one hour.  Passenger 73 year old Shirley Taton of Beaver was transported by Laverne EMS to Harper County Hospital and later transferred to OU Medical.  She was admitted in critical condition with head injuries.  She was pinned for about 20 minutes.  Albright was not injured.
