Ella Mae Julian

Ella Mae Julian, age 93, was born on January 8, 1928, in Raymond, KS to Robert Clark and Elvra Ann (Snider) Eastin.

She died on May 31, 2021, at the Stanton County LTCU in Johnson, KS.  

Ella Mae married Theodore J. Julian on August 1, 1946, at Bethel Church of the Nazarene.  Ella Mae and Ted farmed and raised their family in Stanton County and had two children; son, Basil Dwight, born on January 17, 1950, and daughter, Rita Kay, born on November 11, 1952.


As a member of the Wesleyan Church, Ella Mae held many roles including board member, song leader, Sunday School teacher, and Bible School teacher.  She loved to sing and play the piano.


Preceding her in death is her husband, Ted Julian; son, Basil Julian of Ulysses; brother, Eugene Eastin of Dodge City; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Greta and Dwight Mitchell of Johnson.


Ella Mae is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Jon Nelson of Johnson, KS, grandchildren; Heidi and David Knight of Wimberley, TX; Kysa and Caleb Hass of Owasso, OK; great-grandchildren; Payton and Avery Knight of Wimberley, TX and Kaden, Kasia & Cian Hass of Owasso, OK; nieces, Susan Sullivan of Houston, TX and Lori Mitchell of Manhattan, KS; and nephew, Al Collingwood of Johnson, KS.

 

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Fields Memorial Wesleyan Church in Johnson, Kansas, with Reverend Kurt Rovenstine officiating.  The service will also be live streamed on Garnand Funeral Home face book page. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, June 4, 2021, at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson.  Memorial contributions may be given to World Hope International in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 715, Johnson, KS  67855.  Condolences may be posted at www.garnandfuneralhomes.com.
