Liberal Police Make Arrest in Rape

On Tuesday, May 4th, at approximately 6:26pm, a 35 year old female arrived at the Liberal Police Department to report the possible sexual abuse of a child.
Investigators learned that the suspect, a 35 year old male, was caught in bed with a sleeping 6 year old female. During the investigation the male admitted to touching the child in an attempt to become aroused.
The suspect was arrested without incident and placed in the Seward County Jail and is charged with rape.
