Accident Claims the Life of a Sublette Man

A two vehicle accident occurred Monday morning at approximately 8:58am on US Highway 83, 1 mile north of Liberal.

A 2008 Dodge truck being driven by Brian Tatman, 52, of Sublette was northbound on US 83 and a 2012 Peterbilt semi being driven by Ismael Armendariz-Garcia, 27, of Mexico, was southbound on US 83. Tatman, for an unknown reason, went left of center striking the semi head on. The Dodge then spun and came to rest on the northbound shoulder facing north. The semi came to rest upright in the west ditch.

Tatman died at the scene and was taken to Miller Mortuary. The driver of the semi was not injured.
